Radiation
Radiation Sterilization of Packaging Materials
Typically Gamma or Electron Beam: Electron Beam is a sterilization process that utilizes direct current or linear accelerator to emit high energy electrons. Gamma Irradiation is a sterilization process that utilizes a radioactive isotope that emits high energy photons. Both technologies require suitable packaging materials that allow sterilization, protect the device, and not degrade in the process.
